Who we are

See You There! is a group social planning app that helps people organise gatherings. It is operated by Sliktek Ltd. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at: sliktekltd@gmail.com

What data we collect and why

If you create a gathering (organiser)

Email address — We collect your email address when you sign in. We use it solely to send you a one-time passcode to verify your identity. We do not use your email address for marketing. We do not share it with anyone.

Display name — You can optionally add a display name (e.g. “Dave”) so your group knows who set the gathering up. This is shown to anyone who joins your gathering via the link you share.

Gathering details — We store the gatherings you create, including the gathering name, type, area, proposed dates, and any spots added to the shortlist. This information is necessary to run the gathering coordination service.

If you join a gathering (member)

Your name — You enter your name when you first join a gathering. This name is shown to the organiser and all other members of that gathering so people can see who is free on which dates and who has voted for which spots.

Your availability and votes — We store your date availability selections and spot voting choices. This information is the core purpose of the app — without it the gathering cannot be coordinated.

Your party size — If you optionally indicate how many people you are bringing, we store this so the organiser can plan for the right number of people.

We do not collect your email address, phone number, or any other contact details if you join as a member.

How your data is used

We use the data we collect only to provide the See You There! service. Specifically:

• To identify you across visits to the same gathering so you can update your availability
• To show your name and responses to the organiser and other members of your gathering
• To allow the organiser to confirm a date and spot and share a final plan with the group

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to coordinating your gathering.

Who can see your data

Other members of your gathering can see your name, your availability choices, your spot votes, and your party size. This is the intended purpose of the app.

The organiser of your gathering can see all of the above, plus who added each spot to the shortlist.

Sliktek Ltd (operating See You There!) can access all data stored in our database for the purposes of operating and improving the service.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with any third party except as described below.

Third-party services

Supabase — our database and authentication provider. All data entered into See You There! is stored on Supabase's infrastructure, which runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany) region. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

Google Places API — used to search for and display information about spots (restaurants, parks, etc.). When you or an organiser searches for a spot, the search query is sent to Google. We only store a snapshot of the result (name, address, rating, and Maps link). Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Vercel— our hosting provider. Vercel serves the See You There! web app and may process request metadata (such as IP addresses) as part of normal hosting operations. Vercel's privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Cookies and local storage

See You There! uses the following:

Session cookie — a strictly necessary cookie set by Supabase to keep you signed in as an organiser. This cookie is required for the app to function and does not track you across other websites.

Member token (local storage) — if you join a gathering as a member, a unique identifier is stored in your browser's local storage. This allows you to return to the same gathering and update your availability without re-entering your name. It is specific to each gathering and contains no personal information beyond a random identifier.

We do not use any advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies.

How long we keep your data

We retain gathering data — including organiser details, member names, availability responses, and votes — for as long as the gathering exists in the app. There is currently no automatic deletion of gathering data.

If you would like your data deleted, please contact us at sliktekltd@gmail.com and we will remove it promptly.

Your rights under UK GDPR

If you are based in the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data
• Right to restriction — you can ask us to limit how we use your data
• Right to object — you can object to our processing of your data
• Right to portability — you can ask for your data in a portable format

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

See You There! is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
